It is with deep sadness that Reedy Creek Improvement District – Emergency Services announces the passing of Lieutenant James Dorminy who passed away at approximately 1:50pm Thursday, May 18th, 2017.  Lieutenant Dorminy was dedicated to the Fire Service and had a long and accomplished career. Prior to joining Reedy Creek Improvement District – Emergency Services he was formerly a Firefighter EMT for Osceola County Fire Rescue.  Lieutenant Dorminy joined Reedy Creek Improvement District – Emergency Services in 1999 where he became a Firefighter Paramedic.  In 2002, he was one of the charter members of our Special Operations and Response (SOAR) team.  Soon afterward Jim was promoted to Driver/Operator.  In 2012, Jim achieved the rank of Lieutenant.
